Namon is a family-run camp in the Yeroo river valley of Selenge, northern Mongolia — about 280 km from Ulaanbaatar, where the pine forest of Tujiin Nars meets the open steppe.

We keep our own horses and camels, and our neighbours are nomadic families who have herded here for generations. Ride the grassland by day; by night there is a campfire, food from the hearth and a sky full of stars. Small groups, slow travel, no fences.

Saddle up at golden hour and follow the herd paths home — then trade the saddle for a seat by the fire.

Airport and hotel transfers, along with vehicle, driver, and fuel costs during local travel, are all included in the price.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus one 500 ml bottle of water per day.

We will take you wherever you want to go by horse, car, or motorcycle.

Fly into Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar. From the city it is about 280 km north to camp — a half-day drive through the steppe, or an overnight train towards Sukhbaatar.

We arrange pickup from the airport or the station for every booking — tell us your arrival time when you request a tour and we will plan the rest.

✨ Humun Camp — river horseback riding tour 🐎

About 300 km from Ulaanbaatar: wide grasslands, summer wildflowers ☀☘ mountains and starry night skies 🌠. Ride horses and camels, live alongside a nomadic family and bring home memories that stay.

Khumun Camp (Хүмүн Camp) is a traditional ger camp near the Yeroo River in Selenge Province. Tsagaan Nuur — "White Lake" — is a clear natural lake nearby and one of the most beautiful spots on the riding route.

Hotel fees and round-trip airfare between Japan and Mongolia are not included in the tour price.

Please arrange your own hotel and flights — we are happy to suggest options or help on request.

Even if you book alone, the price may be discounted depending on how many people book before or after you.

At Yeruu Lodge, we offer two restaurants. Our main dining area provides a mix of local and international dishes. At the main restaurant you can enjoy the panoramic view over the river and mountains. The Bistro is open during high season and during special events. We aim to provide you with one of Mongolia's best culinary experiences featuring a well-composed menu, naturally adjusted based on the season and the quality ingredients available to us. Everything is prepared with a passion for good food and a top quality dining experience.

Our restaurant is located in our beautiful main building. With an architecturally unique design, seating for over 40 people, an open fireplace, a pizza oven, and the river right outside, we have the perfect setting for a truly special dining experience. You can enjoy top-notch appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Indulge in a gourmet meal while the Yeruu River flows by outside the large windows.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Our bistro has a separate building equipped with two outdoor pizza ovens. Here, you can enjoy typical bar snacks such as burgers, Italian-inspired pizza, and other pub fare. Our pub menu will consist of three fixed dishes, perfect for a more casual dining experience along the Yeruu River.

Outside, we also have a bocce court if you wish to enjoy good drinks and fun before or after your meal.

At the bistro you can enjoy lunch and dinner during the high season.


Grandma Burmaa's Legacy: Nurturing Nature's Bounty

Orkhon soum is renowned for its abundant harvests, and the locals, known for their hardworking nature, cultivate lush gardens. A testament to this dedication is Grandma Burmaa, a former school teacher, who embarked on a journey of sustainable agriculture in 1962.

Today, her garden thrives in the fertile land of Selenge, providing The Yeruu Lodge with a rich array of nutritious fruits and vegetables.

Grandma Burmaa's commitment to cultivating produce in the most nutritious soil speaks volumes about her understanding of the vital role that vitamins play in our daily diet.

At our lodge, we take the concept of farm-to-table to new heights with our 4-season greenhouse. Here, we cultivate our own herbs, vegetables, and salads, fostering a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to gastronomy. Collaborating with local farmers, we ensure that our ingredients are sourced ethically and support the surrounding community.

Chinggis Khaan International Airport

✨ Southern Mongolia, the Gobi Desert — a journey to Khongoryn Els, the Singing Sands.

🚗 Khongoryn Els stretches 180 km long, 3–15 km wide and rises up to 300 m. When the wind blows, the dunes really do sing.

Gobi

☀ Departure between 4:00 and 7:00 in the morning, heading for the Gobi.
Accommodation: Gobi campsite.

Khongoryn Els lies in the Sevrei and Bayanbogd districts of Umnugobi Province, at the foot of the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains.
From Ulaanbaatar it is roughly 600–700 km — depending on the roads, about 8 hours by car.

☀ After breakfast we head for Bayanzag.
Accommodation: Gobi campsite.

From Khongoryn Els to Bayanzag and Ulaan Ereg it is about 150 km each — around 3–4 hours by car.
🏞 Along the way you see the diverse nature and historic landscapes of the Gobi.

Bayanzag

☀ After breakfast we head for Yolyn Am.
Accommodation: Gobi campsite or hotel.

From Bayanzag (the Flaming Cliffs) to Yolyn Am it is about 110–120 km — 1–3 hours by car.

Yolyn Am is a deep gorge in Gurvan Saikhan National Park, cool enough that ice can stay even in summer. The landscape slowly changes from red rock plains to mountains.

☀ After breakfast we head back to Ulaanbaatar — about 600–650 km, 7–9 hours by car.
